T-Mobile to increase regulatory and recovery fees in October 2026

T-Mobile is implementing another increase to its “Regulatory Programs & Telco Recovery Fee,” marking the second price hike for the carrier in 2026. The new charges are scheduled to take effect on October 12, 2026.

Under the new structure, the fee for voice lines will increase by $1.00 per month, rising from $4.49 to $5.49 per line. Mobile internet lines will see a $0.50 increase, moving from $2.10 to $2.60 per month.

These adjustments occur through variable line-item fees rather than changes to base plan rates. Because these surcharges sit outside of standard rate-freeze or “price lock” guarantees, the carrier can adjust them independently of the primary contract price.
