T Natarajan returns to Sunrisers Hyderabad in IPL trade

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) has reacquired left-arm pacer T Natarajan from the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the first player trade ahead of the IPL 2027 season. In exchange, leg-spinner Zeeshan Ansari moves from SRH to the Delhi-based franchise.

Natarajan, who previously played for SRH from 2020 to 2024, returns to the team at a revised contract value of ₹5 crore. He was originally signed by Delhi Capitals for ₹10.75 crore during the IPL mega auction. Natarajan is noted for his death-overs expertise and yorker accuracy, having previously taken 65 wickets in 55 matches for Hyderabad.

Zeeshan Ansari joins Delhi Capitals at his existing salary of ₹40 lakh. The trade aims to bolster SRH’s pace attack and provide DC with additional wicket-taking spin options.
