T. O. P fansite CHOIDOT announces closure after 20 years

CHOIDOT, a prominent fansite that has supported former BIGBANG member T. O. P since August 2006, has announced it will cease operations after 20 years. The site's administration issued a statement criticizing T. O. P and his agency, TOPSPOT PICTURES, for what they described as an avoidance of reality, a lack of accountability, and a tendency to take fan dedication for granted.

The fansite highlighted several grievances, including insufficient communication and a lack of proactive engagement during the release of T. O. P’s solo album, ‘Another Dimension’. The administrators noted that they often had to manage practical tasks, such as responding to international fans, due to a lack of official inquiry channels and community support from the agency.

Additionally, the group addressed the recent cancellation of a planned fan exhibition. While some attributed the cancellation to news regarding T. O. P’s relationship with actress Nana, the fansite clarified that the decision was driven by low participation rates and the resulting financial burden on the site's management. The statement concluded by emphasizing that fan support should not be a one-sided relationship where devotion is only acknowledged when convenient.
