T1 Energy signs 641 MW solar module deal with Clearway Energy

T1 Energy Inc. has entered a contract to supply Clearway Energy Group with 641 MW of solar modules built using domestically produced solar cells from T1’s forthcoming G2_Austin cell fab. The agreement leverages T1’s existing 5 GW G1_Dallas module facility and aims to deliver modules with more than 60 % U.S. content by 2027. Construction of the G2_Austin facility began in December 2025, with the first 2.1 GW production phase slated for the first quarter of 2027. Both companies said the partnership supports a traceable, American‑made solar supply chain and helps Clearway meet its utility‑scale renewable‑energy pipeline.

T1’s Chairman and CEO Dan Barcelo highlighted the deal as a step toward a “Made in America” solar ecosystem, while Clearway’s Vice President of Procurement Frances Cook noted the contract will enable reliable, competitively priced project delivery.
