Ta Dung schools close due to flooding in Lam Dong

Heavy rainfall in Lam Dong province has led to the temporary suspension of classes at several school sites in Ta Dung commune. According to local authorities, students at branches of Le Loi Primary School and Hoa Cuc Kindergarten in the Dak R'Mang 1 and Dak R'Mang 2 hamlets are advised to stay home starting September 10, 2026, until further notice.

The prolonged rain has caused significant flooding and cut off access to several areas, creating safety risks for students, parents, and teachers. Local authorities have issued warnings against traveling through deep water or areas prone to landslides. Schools are instructed to prepare make-up teaching plans to ensure the curriculum remains on track once weather and transportation conditions stabilize.

In addition to school closures, the heavy rains have caused widespread flooding and landslides across western Lam Dong, impacting local transportation, livelihoods, and agriculture. In Dong Gia Nghia, landslides have severely damaged roads, with some sections showing deep erosion and cracks, posing ongoing risks to the community.
