Taça das Favelas tournament reaches decisive stages in Brazil

The Taça das Favelas, an amateur football tournament organized by the Central Única das Favelas (CUFA), is reaching decisive stages in various regions.

In João Pessoa, the Arena da Graça will host the state stage for both men's and women's categories. The schedule includes several matches to determine semifinalists. Alongside the matches, a special panel titled ‘Women who play, Women who lead: Professional trajectories in sports’ will be held to discuss female leadership and challenges in the industry, featuring participants such as CUFA Brasil president Kalyne Lima.

In São Paulo, the women's team from Favela do Campanário in Diadema has secured a spot in the Taça das Favelas final. Following a 2-1 victory against Brasilândia, the team is set to compete at the Pacaembu Stadium. To support the community, organizers have provided free tickets and transportation for residents of Diadema.
