Taça de Portugal third round draw announced

The third round of the Taça de Portugal has been determined following a draw held at the Cidade do Futebol, conducted by former Euro-2016 winner Éder. Due to regulatory changes, the top five teams competing in European competitions—Benfica, Sporting, FC Porto, SC Braga, and Torreense—received exemptions and will enter the tournament in the following stage.

The draw features several matchups between top-tier Liga Portugal clubs and teams from lower divisions. Notable fixtures include Estoril facing Salgueiros, Vitória de Guimarães traveling to Lamelas, and Santa Clara visiting Mafra. Other professional matchups include Aves SAD against Moreirense and Tondela against Alverca.

Additional matchups include Académica hosting Amarante, Marialvas traveling to face Chaves, and O. Hospital playing against Olhanense. The third round matches are scheduled to take place on October 17 and 18.
