Taafi Charity Association hosts global addiction forum in Dammam

The third Global Scientific Forum organized by the Taafi Charity Association, in collaboration with the Saudi Addiction Treatment Association, has commenced in Dammam. Held under the patronage of Prince Saud bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the event focuses on addiction prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery.

The forum features 29 experts and specialists from Saudi Arabia and six other countries, including the United Kingdom, Egypt, Turkey, Morocco, Greece, and Thailand. Discussions center on the pivotal role of the family in early detection and supporting the recovery process, as well as reviewing international evidence-based practices.

During the opening ceremonies, several cooperation agreements were signed, including partnerships with the Eastern Province branch of the Ministry of Health and the Addiction and Substance Abuse Control Fund in Egypt. The event aims to transform scientific knowledge into practical partnerships to foster sustainable recovery and community reintegration.
