TAAG Angola Airlines restricts Luanda–Cabinda ticket sales to official channels

TAAG Angola Airlines has announced that, effective September 15, 2026, ticket sales for the Luanda–Cabinda route and vice versa will be handled exclusively through the airline’s official channels. This move eliminates sales through third-party agencies to combat commercial intermediation schemes that have been inflating prices and distorting official procedures.

The decision follows consultations between TAAG and the Cabinda Provincial Government to restore service normality and ensure transparency. The airline noted that the state-subsidized route had become a lucrative business for informal traders who would purchase tickets in advance to resell them at speculative prices. This issue was recently highlighted by local religious leaders who noted a lack of available tickets for much of the year.

Despite the change in sales methods, flight schedules and frequencies remain unchanged. The subsidized economy class round-trip fare will remain at 29,717.00 AOA. Passengers can purchase tickets via the TAAG Call Center, physical stores at Maria Mambo Café Airport in Cabinda and Dr. António Agostinho Neto International Airport in Luanda, the Flytaag mobile app, or the official website.
