TAAG launches direct flight between Angola and Guangzhou, China

TAAG Linhas Aéreas de Angola inaugurated regular service linking Angola with Guangzhou, China, at a ceremony in Guangzhou on June 25. The weekly Boeing 787 Dreamliner route departs from Luanda on Tuesdays and returns from Guangzhou on Fridays. The airline says the connection will facilitate business travel, tourism and cargo flows, reinforcing Angola’s role as a hub between Africa and global markets. The launch comes as China–Africa trade reached a record US$348 billion in 2025, with Angola among the top three African exporters to China. Officials highlighted the route’s potential to deepen bilateral investment and logistical cooperation.
