Tabanan Regency pushes for fiscal independence through revenue optimization

The Tabanan Regency Government is working to strengthen fiscal independence by optimizing Regional Original Income (PAD). During a socialization event, Regent I Komang Gede Sanjaya emphasized that local government agencies must move beyond a spending-oriented mindset and actively explore revenue potential within their respective sectors.

This initiative aims to mitigate the impact of changing central government transfer policies. Sanjaya noted that higher fiscal independence provides the local government with greater sovereignty to determine its own development direction and fund community-focused programs without relying solely on central funds.
