Tabanovce border traffic remains fluid via new digital fine system

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced that traffic flow at the Tabanovce border crossing is proceeding without interruption. To prevent delays, the ministry has introduced the ‘Safe City’ web and mobile application, designed to streamline the process for foreign vehicle owners and drivers.

Through this digital platform, foreign citizens can receive direct information regarding traffic violations recorded by the ‘Safe City’ system, view payment orders, and pay fines electronically. This system aims to ensure that drivers do not need to wait at border points to settle obligations. Upon entry, drivers are required to scan their passport and enter their vehicle registration details. This allows for timely notification of violations across the country, with the ministry planning to expand these digital services to other user categories in future phases.
