Tabaporã joins Brazilian Tourism Map to boost fishing economy

The municipality of Tabaporã, located in Mato Grosso, has officially joined the Brazilian Tourism Map. This inclusion follows administrative reorganization and documentation regularization by the Municipal Secretariat of Economic Development and Tourism. The city aims to leverage its natural resources, specifically sport and recreational fishing, to drive economic growth, stimulate the local hospitality and service sectors, and secure federal and state funding for infrastructure improvements.

In the broader region, the Pantanal biome continues to offer diverse tourism experiences across the states of Mato Grosso and Mato Grosso do Sul. Key attractions include the Transpantaneira Park Road for wildlife observation, the Encontro das Águas State Park, and various ecotourism routes in Corumbá, Miranda, and Aquidauana. Activities range from photographic safaris and boat tours to community-based tourism involving indigenous populations and traditional riverside communities.
