Tabelog announces 2026 Sweets Hyakumeiten top 100 shops

The gourmet website Tabelog has announced its ‘Sweets Hyakumeiten 2026’ (Top 100 Sweets Shops), marking the seventh edition of the awards. The selection is based on high user ratings across various dessert categories, including cakes, chocolates, and pastries.

In the WEST region, Hyogo Prefecture saw 17 shops recognized. Notable first-time selections in the prefecture include Maman et Fille in Mikage, known for its French biscuits, and Patisserie Akito in Minato Motomachi, which specializes in French-style sweets using milk jam. Other recognized establishments in Hyogo include Michelle Bach in Nishinomiya, which has received this certification four times.

Nationally, the WEST region is heavily represented by Osaka (40 shops), Kyoto (22 shops), and Hyogo (17 shops). In the TOKYO area, Shibuya and Setagaya districts led with 14 shops each, while the EAST region saw Kanagawa Prefecture account for approximately 40% of its selections.
