Taboão da Serra students to host peripheral culture festival

Students from the municipal school system in Taboão da Serra will host the Sarau de Cultura Periférica on the 30th at Cemur. The event features approximately 480 fourth-grade students from four different schools: Emebs Darcy Ribeiro, Ester Cordeiro de Souza, Maria José Luizetto Buscarini, and Vinícius de Moraes.

The gathering aims to celebrate peripheral identity through art, literature, and education. A central highlight of the event is the launch of the ‘Antologia de Poesia Periférica’, a book composed of poetic works written by the students themselves. The program will include rhyme battles, street dance, and performances by local artists to connect schools, families, and the community.
