TAC releases guide for 2027 joint teacher recruitment exams

TAC has released an explanatory guide regarding the joint implementation of the first stage of the 2027 teacher recruitment selection exams. Based on information from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the new system involves 51 local governments, including 37 prefectures and 14 ordinance-designated cities.

Under this new framework, common questions will be created and distributed for the first stage of the selection process. The exam schedule is expected to be standardized into three unified dates in May, June, and July. This change will significantly impact applicants' strategies for applying to multiple municipalities, as new rules will govern which combinations of local governments allow for concurrent applications.

To assist candidates, TAC has provided a detailed overview of the system, a list of participating municipalities, and analysis regarding changes to application rules. The company is also offering free seminars and archived video content to help examinees prepare for these upcoming structural changes.
