Tacha urges Big Brother Naija organisers to pause and restrategize

Natacha Akide, the reality television star popularly known as Tacha, has advised the organisers of Big Brother Naija to take a hiatus to reassess the show’s format. Speaking on Arise 360, the former housemate argued that the programme needs fresh ideas to remain relevant in an entertainment landscape increasingly dominated by social media.

Tacha noted that the show’s previous successes occurred when social media did not play as central a role in public entertainment. She suggested that the rise of online discussions and celebrity controversies provides significant competition for viewers' attention. To rebuild public anticipation and adapt to changing audience habits, she recommended a break that would allow organisers to implement new concepts before returning to the screen.
