Thousands of pilgrims from Peru and neighboring countries, including Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, and Paraguay, gathered in the Locumba district of Tacna to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the Feast of the Señor de Locumba.

On September 14, devotees participated in various religious activities, including a central mass led by Bishop Marco Antonio Cortez Lara of the Diocese of Tacna and Moquegua. Some pilgrims completed a 93-kilometer walk from Tacna to the Sanctuary of Cristo de los pies quemados. To support the event, regional health authorities established hydration points and deployed ambulances along the route.
