Tacna to host XII International Oral Storytelling Festival

The XII International Oral Storytelling Festival, ‘Te Encuentro en Tacna 2026’, is set to take place in Tacna, Peru. Organized by the Asociación Cultural Mamá Goyita, the event will feature eleven narrators from Mexico, Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, and Peru.

Central performances will be held on September 11, 12, and 13 at the Teatro Orfeón. The schedule includes themes of myths and legends, horror stories for adults, and family-oriented sessions. The festival also includes outreach programs for the deaf community, women's prisons, and senior centers, alongside workshops for educational institutions.

Following the main events in Tacna, the artists will embark on a cultural tour through Moquegua, Arequipa, Puno, and Cusco to promote cultural exchange.
