Taco Bell to open first Croatian restaurants in Zagreb
The American fast-food chain Taco Bell is expanding into the Croatian market, with the first two restaurants slated to open in Zagreb. The locations are expected to be in the Arena Centar and City Center One West shopping malls.
This regional expansion is supported by a €9.9 million loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) in collaboration with the Global Environment Facility (GEF). The funding, provided to related companies Aptha Global and Tastri, aims to support the transition to a green economy by promoting circular business models, sustainable resource use, and waste reduction within the restaurants.
Following the Croatian launch, the brand plans to enter the markets of Slovenia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with upcoming locations planned for Ljubljana and Sarajevo.
