Tadasana yoga pose offers physical and mental health benefits
Tadasana, also known as mountain pose, is a fundamental yoga posture used to balance the body and mind. Experts note that the pose helps improve physical posture, which often suffers due to sedentary lifestyles.
According to the Ministry of Ayush, regular practice of Tadasana can provide several health benefits, including stretching the chest, shoulder, and back muscles. It is also suggested that the practice may assist in increasing height and reducing the risk of slip disc issues.
To perform the pose, one should stand straight with feet approximately two inches apart, interlock the fingers, and raise the arms above the head while balancing on the toes for 10-15 seconds. Precautions are advised for individuals with low blood pressure, dizziness, or pregnant women, who should practice under professional supervision.
