Tadej Pogacar and Marlen Reusser dominate Tour de Suisse 2026

Slovenian rider Tadej Pogacar secured the overall victory in the 2026 Tour de Suisse, winning three of the five stages and finishing 6 minutes 32 seconds ahead of Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz, with Czech Mathias Vacek on the podium. He claimed the final stage on the Villars‑sur‑Ollon climb, overtaking Frenchman Lenny Martinez in the last kilometre, and described the race as a “brutal” but perfect preparation for the upcoming Tour de France.

Swiss rider Marlen Reusser won the inaugural Tour de Suisse Women, sealing the general classification after a dominant individual time‑trial in Aarburg that gave her a ten‑second lead over Italian Elisa Longo Borghini. Reusser held the lead on the final mountain stage to Villars‑sur‑Ollon, finishing ahead of French‑born Cedrine Kerbaol and Polish Kasia Niewiadoma. The women's race featured a strong field, with notable performances from Femke de Vries and Sarah Van Dam.
