Tadej Pogačar targets Vuelta a España to complete Grand Tour career set

Professional cyclist Tadej Pogačar is preparing for his return to the Vuelta a España, marking his first appearance in the race since his 2019 debut. A victory in the Spanish Grand Tour would allow Pogačar to complete the career set of winning all three major Grand Tours, having already secured the Giro d’Italia and five Tour de France titles.

During the Tour de France Femmes, Pogačar was seen supporting his fiancée, Urska Zigart, who competes for AG Insurance - Soudal. In a lighthearted moment, Pogačar wore a shirt reading ‘Urksa’s HAB’—a play on the acronym for ‘Husbands and Boyfriends’—to humorously challenge media tendencies to label female athletes by their partners' names.

Pogačar, riding for UAE Team Emirates, continues to solidify his place in cycling history. His recent Tour de France successes have brought him level with legends such as Eddy Merckx and Bernard Hinault, with the Vuelta now representing the final major milestone in his Grand Tour career.
