Tadej Pogačar widens UCI lead ahead of Tour de France

Slovenian rider Tadej Pogačar remains atop the UCI World Ranking with 11,593 points, expanding his advantage to almost 3,000 points over Denmark’s Jonas Vingegaard, who sits on 8,625. The gap widened after Pogačar’s dominant performance at the Tour de Suisse, where he claimed three stage victories and the overall win.

The lead marks Pogačar’s 248th consecutive week at the top of the ranking and his 258th week overall in his career. His teammate Isaac del Toro (Mexico) holds third place with 5,340 points. With the Tour de France set to begin in 11 days, Pogačar will target a fifth overall victory, which would tie the historic record.
