Tadej Pogačar wins fifth Tour de France title

Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar has won the 2026 Tour de France, marking his fifth victory in the prestigious race. With this win, the 27-year-old has equaled the historical record of five titles held by legends such as Eddy Merckx, Miguel Induráin, Jacques Anquetil, and Bernard Hinault.

Pogačar expressed his emotions on social media, noting that as a child he only dreamed of participating in the Tour, let alone winning it five times. He credited his success to his family, friends, teammates, and his partner, Urška Žigart.

Beyond the competition on the road, the 113th edition of the Tour also involved extensive logistical operations. Nicolas Rougeon, an employee of Crédit Agricole Touraine Poitou, managed the Tourtel Twist promotional caravan, overseeing a team of approximately thirty people to coordinate the distribution of goods along the race route.
