Tadej Pogačar's era hailed as clean by veteran journalist David Walsh
Veteran Irish sports journalist David Walsh, best known for exposing Lance Armstrong’s doping scandal, said the Tour de France is now far more credible than in earlier decades. He noted that the race has become an event where clean riders can win.
Walsh described Slovenian champion Tadej Pogačar’s recent years as the best period he has covered, emphasizing that doping has markedly decreased since around 2010‑2011. He added that recent night tests have yielded no concrete evidence and that no proof has emerged linking Pogačar to any prohibited practices.
