Tadej Pogačar confirmed for 2026 Vuelta a España FAST-MOVING
UAE Team Emirates‑XRG announced that five‑time Tour de France champion Tadej Pogačar will ride the 2026 Vuelta a España, his first appearance in the Spanish Grand Tour since 2019. The Slovenian hopes to complete the rare “triple crown” of Grand Tour victories – Tour, Giro and Vuelta – after winning the Giro d’Italia in 2025 and his fifth Tour title in July 2026.
The 81st edition will open on 22 August with an individual time trial in Monaco, cross France and Andorra, and finish on 13 September in Granada, Spain. The route features seven summit finishes, two individual time trials and roughly 3 275 km of racing, making it one of the toughest courses in recent years. Pogačar will lead a balanced UAE Emirates squad that includes João Almeida, Jay Vine, Pavel Sivakov, Pablo Torres, Kevin Vermaerke, Domen Novak and Ivo Oliveira.
