Tadeu Schmidt admits to smartphone addiction

Brazilian presenter Tadeu Schmidt shared a personal reflection on social media regarding his struggle with smartphone addiction. In a video posted to Instagram, Schmidt admitted to excessive device usage, describing moments where he felt “like a zombie” while scrolling through content.

Schmidt noted that his professional responsibilities, particularly while hosting the reality show ‘BBB’, require him to be connected nearly 24 hours a day. However, he realized the extent of his habit during a recent vacation when he intentionally disconnected from his devices and found the experience beneficial.

He emphasized that while smartphones are “sensational” and “incredible” tools, the current manner in which they are used can be harmful to individuals and social interactions. Schmidt concluded by inviting his followers to join him in attempting to overcome this addiction and establish healthier digital habits.
