Taekwondo champion Isabelle Sava dies at 19
Taekwondo champion Isabelle Sava has died at the age of 19 following an unexpected cardiac arrest while sleeping. Emergency services attempted to resuscitate her, but she could not be saved.
Sava was a highly accomplished athlete, holding a second-degree black belt and having won a silver medal in sparring at the 2022 World Taekwondo Championships in the Netherlands. She had dedicated over a decade to the sport. Beyond her athletic achievements, she was a student at Queen Mary University of London, where she was preparing for her second year of LLB law studies with aspirations of becoming a commercial lawyer.
A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist her family with funeral and memorial expenses. Her taekwondo academy, Trenic TKD, released a statement expressing deep sadness over her passing.
