Taekwondo medalist Isabelle Sava dies at 19
Isabelle Sava, a 19-year-old taekwondo world medalist and law student, has passed away following a sudden cardiac arrest while sleeping in the United Kingdom. The incident occurred on August 17, and emergency services were unable to revive her.
Sava was a highly regarded athlete who held a second-degree black belt and achieved significant success, including a silver medal at the 2022 World Taekwondo Championships in the Netherlands. She had long aspired to compete in the Olympic Games.
In addition to her athletic achievements, Sava was a student at Queen Mary University of London, where she was preparing for her second year of law studies. She was also involved in various student societies and served as a writer for the university's legal advisory blog. Her training academy, Trenic TKD, expressed deep sadness over the loss of the dedicated athlete.
