Tafalla hosts traditional October fairs and livestock exhibitions
The town of Tafalla held its traditional October fairs, featuring a variety of cultural and agricultural activities. The event included a parade by the Association of the Corpus of Xàtiva, which brought 16th-century 'nanos i gegants' (giants and dwarves) to the historic district to represent various historical groups.
In addition to the cultural festivities, a traditional horse fair took place, showcasing over fifty heads of livestock. The exhibition highlighted indigenous breeds such as the Dejaca Navarra and the Pottoka, both of which are protected due to their endangered status. The fair also featured demonstrations of horse-drawn equipment and the sale of foal meat.
During the inaugural session, local urban volunteer groups reported completing approximately 7,000 hours of community work over the past year, including infrastructure projects like bridge construction and the restoration of local landmarks.
