TAG Heuer releases limited Monza Flyback Chronograph to mark 50th anniversary

TAG Heuer has released a limited edition Monza Flyback Chronograph Carbon to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the original model. The new timepiece is limited to 500 numbered units and features a 42 mm forged carbon case.

The original Monza chronograph was launched in 1976 to celebrate Niki Lauda’s 1975 Formula 1 World Championship with Ferrari. This anniversary edition honors that legacy with a matte black dial, red details, and white Super-LumiNova hands. While the cushion-shaped silhouette draws from the Monza's 2000s evolution, the dial design returns closer to the 1976 aesthetic.

Technical specifications include the COSC-certified TH20-12 manufacture movement and flyback functionality, allowing the chronograph to be reset and restarted with a single touch. The watch includes traditional racing scales, such as a tachymeter and pulsometer.
