Tagliacozzo hosts Duke Ellington jazz tribute as Vignanello presents book on Jesus

On Thursday, 6 August, the Chiostro di San Francesco in Tagliacozzo, Italy, staged a concert by the Dino Plasmati Quintet featuring vocalist Sara Rotunno. The program, titled “The Duke Legacy,” paid homage to American jazz composer and bandleader Duke Ellington, performing selections from his Sacred Concerts and classic repertoire such as “Take the A Train” and “In a Sentimental Mood.”

Two days later, on Saturday, 8 August, the town of Vignanello held a book presentation at the Museo DiVino for “Gesù, la poesia dei Vangeli” by author Nicola Piermartini. The event, organized by the municipal authorities and the local AVIS charity, included remarks from scholars and concluded with a communal refreshment. Proceeds from the book sales were earmarked for AVIS activities supporting volunteer and donation initiatives.
