Tagliacozzo to represent Abruzzo on Rai 3 program

The town of Tagliacozzo has been selected to represent the Abruzzo region in the 14th edition of ‘Il Borgo dei Borghi’, a Rai 3 television program hosted by Camila Raznovich. The show focuses on discovering and promoting Italy’s most evocative and authentic locations.

Located at an altitude of approximately 740 meters in the Marsica area, Tagliacozzo possesses significant historical and cultural heritage. Notable landmarks include the Teatro Talia and historical ties to the Battle of Tagliacozzo in 1268, an event mentioned by Dante Alighieri in the ‘Divine Comedy’.

Antonio Di Marco, president of the ‘I Borghi più belli d’Italia’ association for Abruzzo and Molise, expressed satisfaction with the candidacy, noting that it highlights a community capable of blending historical identity with contemporary growth.
