Tahsim Durgun to host German road trip comedy series

Comedian and social media personality Tahsim Durgun is embarking on a new comedy reportage titled ‘Deutschland, ich küss dein Herz’ (Germany, I Kiss Your Heart) for ARD. Accompanied by his aunt Zeynep, the 30-year-old creator from Oldenburg will travel across Germany in a six-part series, visiting locations ranging from the far north to the deep south.

Durgun, who rose to fame after a viral video regarding German grammar, uses his platform to humorously address migrant life, racism, and the complexities of navigating multiple cultures. His biographical book, ‘Mama, bitte lern Deutsch’, became a bestseller by detailing his experiences growing up in a Kurdish family and the responsibilities he held for his parents.

The upcoming series will feature various encounters, including meeting a community garden sheriff in Leipzig and participating in an acting course in Weimar. The project continues Durgun’s work of giving a voice to the generation of his parents through a blend of humor and serious social commentary.
