Taichung and Linkou welcome new specialized dining establishments

New dining establishments are expanding in Taichung and Linkou, reflecting evolving consumer preferences for specialized and family-friendly culinary experiences.

In Taichung, the dining scene is shifting toward the Beitun and Shuannnan areas. Notable upcoming openings include the first overseas location of Yokohama's legendary yakitori restaurant, Daruma, which brings a 70-year tradition of charcoal-grilled chicken to the city. Additionally, Daozhen Classic Taiwanese Cuisine is launching in Beitun, offering refined Taiwanese dishes designed for smaller groups and modern dining rhythms, moving away from traditional large-scale banquet formats.

In Linkou, the brunch brand BRUN is opening its eighth location, specifically designed as a community-focused, family-friendly space. The new outlet features a spacious layout with a focus on healthy, whole-food options, including exclusive sourdough bread developed with celebread and specialized children's meals that prioritize low salt and oil. The expansion targets the growing residential population in the New Taipei City satellite areas.
