Taichung hosts cultural festival and business forum to boost tourism and industry

The "Gather at Guguan, Play with Atayal" cultural festival was held in the Guguan Indigenous village in Taichung, organized by the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Business Development Agency and the Guguan Community Development Association. Despite overcast weather, the event attracted many visitors who explored indigenous market stalls, sampled local foods, tried Atayal costumes, and attended performances by the African drum group Tembo and the local Hakuan Tai band. The festival also promoted eco‑friendly practices such as reusable bags.

A separate "Build, Nurture, Inherit" forum took place at the Taichung City Hall, organized by the Taichung City Business Development Investment Promotion Association. Over 300 participants from precision machinery, smart manufacturing, semiconductors, biotech, green energy and service sectors heard speakers Wu Chun‑shan, chairman of Limei Construction, and Gao Cheng‑shu, chairman of Fengjia University. They discussed city construction, talent cultivation and corporate heritage, aiming to strengthen Taichung’s sustainable development and competitiveness.
