Taichung International Animation Festival to open October 3

The 2026 Taichung International Animation Festival (TIAF) is scheduled to officially open on October 3. To build momentum, a warm-up event featuring an outdoor screening of ‘The Peanuts Movie’ was held at Taichung Civic Square, attracting numerous families.

In addition to the main festival, which will take place at the iFG Far Eastern Forum Cinema from October 3 to October 10, several satellite activities are planned. These include a special animation creation exhibition at the Zhongshan 73 Film and Art Space and a ‘Little Jury’ program designed to engage children in the animation viewing and evaluation process.
