Taichung launches second wave of consumer stimulus vouchers

The Taichung City Government is launching the second phase of its consumer stimulus program, featuring a '100 TWD for 200 TWD' voucher scheme. The distribution period is scheduled from October 30 to November 1, with vouchers valid for use until November 5.

To boost local economies, various traditional markets and night markets, including Nantun Market, Daqing Night Market, and Hanxi Night Market, are offering additional incentives. Participating vendors have introduced special deals, such as exchanging vouchers for higher-value goods or receiving bonus items on food and beverage purchases.

This stimulus model has gained significant traction, with over 10 other cities and counties in Taiwan, including New Taipei City, Kaohsiung, and Tainan, reportedly referencing or adopting similar doubling-consumption schemes to revitalize local commerce.
