Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen encourages 500 youth interns

Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen attended an educational training session for 500 college students participating in summer internships within the Taichung City Government. These students have been assigned to 43 different bureaus and district offices across the city.

Mayor Lu encouraged the participants to utilize this opportunity to observe the complete lifecycle of public policy, from planning and formulation to execution and review. She emphasized that understanding how public organizations collaborate can serve as a foundation for their future academic and professional development.

The Taichung City Labor Affairs Bureau organized the training to include topics such as labor rights, job scam prevention, workplace safety, and future workplace trends. The program aims to enhance the competitiveness of young people as they face rapid developments in AI and intelligent machinery.
