Taichung organizations host seminar on adolescent psychology and back-to-school adjustment

The Taichung Business Development and Investment Promotion Committee, in collaboration with the Taichung City Small and Medium Enterprise Service Center, various teacher unions, and the historic Eslite Bookstore, hosted the ‘Century Eslite Lecture’ to address adolescent psychological challenges during the back-to-school season.

Psychologist Luo Hui-qun, director of the Southern Counseling Clinic, provided guidance for parents on navigating communication with teenagers. The lecture focused on managing conflicts related to digital device usage, academic anxiety, and the transition from summer break to school routines. Luo emphasized the importance of ‘connecting before correcting’ and advised parents to offer security rather than strict authority to help children manage anxiety.

Organizers noted that the initiative aims to support the mental well-being of families, teachers, and employees, recognizing that stable home environments contribute to professional success and social resilience.
