Taichung Performing Arts Festival enters 13th year

The 13th Taichung Performing Arts Festival is scheduled to take place from September 5 to November 8 in the coastal regions of Taichung. Centered on the theme of “love and healing,” the festival features a diverse lineup of theatrical, musical, and cross-disciplinary performances.

Key highlights include a new children's Gezaixi opera by the Xin Yi Fang Opera Troupe on September 5 and an original production titled “Children from Qingshui” on October 4. The festival concludes with free concerts at the Dajia Zhongzheng Memorial Hall on November 7 and 8. Zhou Xuanwei, a recipient of the Presidential Education Award, serves as the brand ambassador and will perform a saxophone concert during the final event.

In addition to stage performances, the festival includes the “Gomach History Tour,” which aims to connect local history with the arts. The event utilizes various venues, including the Gangqu Arts Center and the Dajia Zhongzheng Memorial Hall, to integrate performing arts into the daily lives of the community.
