Taif to host Saudi Camel Federation Cup and Crown Prince Festival

The Saudi Camel Federation has announced that the 2026 Saudi Camel Federation Cup will be held at the Taif Camel Racing Track in the Al-Arfa area from October 1 to 5. The tournament will feature 116 heats, including 20 special heats for trophies and symbols, covering various age categories and distances ranging from 3 km to 8 km.

Additionally, the eighth edition of the Crown Prince Camel Festival will take place at the historic Taif track, featuring camel beauty competitions (Mazayen) for the first time. This festival includes over 240 diverse heats with total prizes exceeding 50 million riyals. The event showcases various camel breeds such as 'Shaqah-Shual', 'Wadh-Hamar', and 'Majahim'.

To support these events, the Federation has completed several infrastructure upgrades at the Taif track, including a new 11-kilometer training track and improved racing surfaces. These developments aim to align with Saudi Vision 2030 by transforming camel heritage into a professional sports and economic industry.
