Tainan railway station to become Taiwan's first fully multilingual underground hub

Taiwan's Ministry of Transportation and Communications announced that the renovated Tainan railway station will be the first in the country to use the latest version of multilingual signage, offering directions in Chinese, English, Japanese and Korean. The underground railway project, stretching 8.23 km, is in its final stages, with tunnels and track already completed and interior works such as mechanical‑electrical testing underway. The station is slated to open before the end of 2026, alongside two new underground commuter stations at Lin‑sen and South Tainan.
