Taipei 101 Chairperson Jia Yongjie displays giant rainbow flag

Taipei 101 Chairperson Jia Yongjie has displayed a massive rainbow flag at the landmark building to support Taiwan's Pride Parade. Following her social media appeal for a large-scale flag to be displayed at Taipei 101, a group of volunteers and local businesses coordinated an overnight effort to fulfill the request.

Jia reported that after her request was posted, a fabric merchant reopened their shop and three tailors worked until midnight to assemble the flag. Due to the urgent timeline, the flag was constructed using various fabric materials of similar colors. Jia expressed her gratitude to the community, noting that the diverse materials coming together to form a single flag symbolizes a Taiwan that is different yet equal and inclusive.
