Taipei: 13-year-old girl dies after falling near Gongguan MRT Station

A 13-year-old girl died after falling from a height near Gongguan MRT Station in the Zhongzheng District of Taipei on the night of September 13. Witnesses discovered the girl lying on the sidewalk near Exit 1 of the station around 10:00 PM.

Emergency responders arrived to find the girl without signs of life. Despite performing CPR and rushing her to Wanfang Hospital, she was pronounced dead. Police have cordoned off the area for forensic investigation and have contacted the girl's family.

Preliminary investigations by the Zhongzheng Second Precinct have ruled out external intervention or foul play. The exact cause of death will be determined following an autopsy conducted by a prosecutor and a medical examiner.
