Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an's campaign office reports unauthorized poster

The campaign office of Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an has filed a police report following the circulation of an unauthorized election poster titled ‘Wan-an Eliminates Three Evils’. The poster, which mimics the imagery of a film, features violent themes such as firearms and was falsely labeled with a non-existent ‘Taipei City Government Information Bureau’ to mislead the public into believing it was official material.

Advertising executive Chuang Shu-fen initially criticized the campaign for alleged plagiarism before retracting her comments after the campaign office clarified they had no involvement. Meanwhile, reports indicate that the social media account responsible for spreading the imagery has since been closed, potentially to avoid investigation by the Songshan Police Division and the Taipei District Prosecutors Office.
