Taiwan–China panda exchange sparks political dispute
Shanghai Zoo transferred a pair of small pandas, a male named 樂樂 and a female named 甜甜, to the Taipei City Zoo. After completing a two‑month quarantine, the pandas were publicly displayed on 29 July 2026.
