Taipei Metro and Nagoya Railway roll out 2026 Pokemon‑themed transit promotions
Taipei Metro is partnering with Niantic’s Pokémon GO for the global "Pokémon GO Fest 2026" celebration. From July 11–12 the metro’s Zhongshan Art Corridor becomes a themed photo spot featuring Mewtwo, while riders can collect in‑game postcards at stations, earn points via the Go app, and purchase a special Pokémon‑Supercard. The event runs through late July and includes a warm‑up challenge at the Taipei Arena on June 28.
In Japan, Nagoya Railway (Meitetsu) is launching the "Meitetsu Pokemon Stamp Rally 2026" from July 18 to September 23 to mark the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise. Participants can collect stamps at 25 designated stations, ride a wrapped‑train, and visit photo‑spot stations. Completing bingo patterns earns stickers, neck straps, and an acrylic key‑holder, while special day‑pass tickets offer a limited‑edition pass case. Additional activities include special announcements on select lines and the distribution of themed sun‑visors at four locations.
