Taipei Metro woman targeted by unknown liquid at station

A woman reported being targeted by an unidentified man at the Zhongxiao Fuxing MRT station in Taipei. The victim stated that while she was on an escalator, an unknown liquid was sprayed onto her clothes and elbow from behind.

The victim observed the man behaving suspiciously, noting that his hand appeared to be near his groin area. She further reported that the man appeared to follow her and performed a backward walking motion on the escalator, causing significant distress. The liquid did not smell like water, and the suspect was not seen carrying any obvious containers.

Taipei police have formed a special task force and reviewed surveillance footage to identify the suspect. The case has been referred to the Taipei District Prosecutors Office for criminal investigation, and an administrative complaint regarding sexual harassment has been filed with the Social Affairs Bureau.
